Management Team
A strong partnership between the aluminum industry and the University of Kentucky (UK) has developed over the past decade with the establishment in 1999 of the UK Center for Aluminum Technology (CAT) and Secat, Inc. CAT, jointly funded by UK, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, conducts scientific research for the aluminum industry.
Secat, Inc., a for-profit company that shares space with CAT, was created to develop and implement proprietary technical research.
Based on this history of collaboration, the management of the Center
for a Sustainable Aluminum Industry (CSAI) will be shared by Dr. Kenneth
Troske (UK), Dr. Subodh Das (Secat), the CSAI Steering Committee and
the CSAI Research Operations Committee.
